A Couple Quarters I'd Like Your Feedback On

I'd like your feedback. #1 is a 1971 D quarter with possible reverse doubling? The E in UNITED appears to be touching the wing. The M in AMERICA appears to be touching the wing and the E next to it. The N in UNUM is touching the eagles head. #2 is a 1994 P quarter with slight obverse broadstrike? Thanks guys! Report this Post to the Staff

Buddy Rest in Peace United States 7075 Posts	Posted 09/12/2017 8:57 pm Both coins look normal to me. The first coin shows signs of a late die state. The devices tend to expand. The second coin looks like the dies were slightly misaligned but I can't say for sure without seeing the reverse. From what I see, your coin appears to be the regular size. Errers and Varietys Bedrock of the Community United States 75806 Posts	Posted 09/12/2017 9:46 pm First coin is in a LDS (Late Die state) and that's why it looks like that. Also shows bad environmental damage on the front. Second coin is not at all a Broadstrike. It's etheir a MAD (Misaligned Die) or a Partial Collar error. Both are worth face value and are spenders. I've been trying to learn about them for years and I still have to look things up all the time -- and I am still frequently wrong. Keep searching. There's stuff out there waiting to be found.
