Pennylady Valued Member United States 75 Posts	Posted 12/27/2019 09:47 am So here while back I had an opportunity to buy some really nice BU rolls of Jefferson nickels. I got to looking for the D over horizontal D and started noticing what I am thinking may be some doubling and not just Die Deterioration or Machine Doubling. I need some schooling on what I am really seening if not doubling. The E in WE, the S in States and a few other places. Thanks in advance! Report this Post to the Staff

But take a look at them? Note that Just like doubled dies, the RPM makes the mintmark larger than normal. Yours look normal in side, but with had a hit on the top of the mintmark, or MD. I'm just seeing a normal coin from the images provided. The 'E' Looks like a die scratch. (not a DDO as the scratch mark is nothing like the design of the die) Report this Post to the Staff
