I'll add one more thing: All genuine 1914-D cents never at all had a VDB on the coin anywhere; it was not restored to the coin until 1918 on the shoulder. Report this Post to the Staff

pound_foolish Valued Member United States 409 Posts	Posted 09/22/2025 06:43 am Respectfully, that D mintmark looks like the style used much later on in the LWC series, the 4 also looks like it's from a 1940s LWC (the 4 on 1914s was taller and skinnier) and the second 1 of the date appears to have some tooling marks on either side.
