What's the current market price for a 1/10 oz gold coin?
I have someone locally that's selling 3x for $185/ea. That's like $20/coin premium over spot.

What do you guys think? Is it a good buy? I am talking to him and hopping he will come down on the price a little bit.

The true gold spot value at this time is $172. Anytime you can buy the 1/10 for under a $20 premium it is a good value. The average premium you should expect would be between $30 & $40 dollars.

Normally the 1/10th is the most expensive gold to buy because of the premium.

I am guessing this is the AGE 1/10 you are referring to and the price doesn't seem to bad to me. I remember a few years ago I bought a few 1/10 AGE's for 80 bucks a piece and my ex-wife thought I was crazy. We even made two of them into a pendant for myself and her to wear on our necklace everyday

That does not sound like a bad price. Generic dates seem to be selling on ebay for more or less $200.

sounds like a good price as long as it's not an older very worn piece...

Yes, it is. It's also $200 per oz. premium. That seems a little high to me but then I'm not a gold buyer so know nothing about it.

It sounds like a pretty reasonable price to me. They typically go for more than that on ebay.

Like cwb said above, on ebay they are going just over 200, so I would jump on that, if you can't get a better deal....
