Here are my recent acquisitions. Since I'm new to this, this is pretty much my collection so far. The crown jewel and my pride and joy is the walking liberty. I had never seen one until I walked into the silver and gold store near me, and immediately got this one. My other really nice one is the middle top nickel. The top left is the coin that got me started, and will always have a special place in my heart.

Thanks! I'm very happy with it. I searched all over, and it was a good deal, only about $10. It's probably my favorite coin design.

Those are nice coins, sheeptotherescue! Most Liberty nickels I find are low grade, which makes that 1907 great! By the way, what year is the 2-cent piece?
Rest in Peace

, sheeptotherescue!

Nice looking Two Cent, especially if undamaged and other than 1864.

The backside on the Two Cent Piece is way to worn out to say what year it was minted unfortunately. I think that's why I got it cheap. Yesterday, some Mercury dimes I bought came in the mail. One of them has really beautiful toning. I'll post a picture later. The dimes make my collection of pennies, nickels and dimes by decade 1880's-present almost complete. It's unorthodox to do it that way, but I think it's a good balance between getting every year, and just having type specimens. I love seeing history unfold in the aging and design of coins. That's what this is all about for some of us.

We all have our collecting styles, sheeptotherescue, and I like your idea. I never though of that. Don't forget, the whole point of coin collecting is for the fun!

So I just happen to come across the same error coin that Fred Weinberg is selling on ebay, a reverse lamination 3 cent nickel. The one I have is on the obverse side.

The 1921 in my Peace dollar set has been cleaned, this will stay in the holder. As a matter of fact, I have decided to do a PCGS only set of Peace dollars. Only two more hard dates to get and the rest should be EZPZ.

I thought I read somewhere that PCGS did not grade cleaned coins. Am I wrong?

BTW either way very nice Peace dollar!

I didn't word that rather well. I have a complete set of Peace dollars in a Dansco album, the 1921 in that album has been dipped, i.e. the cleaned coin. This
coin has not been cleaned. Hope that clears the muddy waters a little better. :)
