Accidentally (placed a bid and forgot about it) picked this one up on ebay. I love those older ANACS holders and the golden toned halo around the rims doesn't hurt either!

The cardboard residue on the date is not on the slab or the coin... who has not had something resting on a coin that you took an image of?

Guilty - on more than one count!

I was going to play "Guess the grade" but you guys and gals beat me up to bad, especially on Morgans!

I am offering it to a friend who is putting together a set of Morgan dollar Mint Mark Set (CC,D,O,P and S).

Oh I Hate To Wait - Love that Overdate!

I recently picked up an 1803 1/100 over 1/000 myself, waiting to pick up the coin after receiving the dreaded orange slip in the mail yesterday!

I went to a local auction today and there were few coins up for bidding, half a dozen so Morgan and maybe a dozen Peace dollar in AU to low BU grade that each sold for $40-50. And these odd ball I pick up here:

There was a elderly gentlemen that pick up some really nice silver certificates for the cheap, we later have a small chat that the $10 silver note was worth $400 alone in BU condition. I don't know to much about currency, so I didn't bid on any silver certificate, I'd try to bid on a $20 gold certificate that also was in AU-MS condition, I didn't carry enough cash to bid on it. The winner bought it for $210 with 10% buyer fee and no tax.

Also, 2 colonial coins, one a Mass. and the other NJ when for $450, which I was inform was worth around $600+. I believe I have overpaid my purchase, both for $35.75 including the 10% buyer fee. I should have be more prepare next time as to bring a Red Book for reference, and jug down notes about silver prices, etc.

That's a nice 24-P Mercury dime, Captain!

I recently won a 1925-S Mercury dime off ebay graded by ICG (my first ICG coin) MS-64 that has strong strike around the peripheral on the reverse, some minor marks kept it away from being a 65, but I think it look more like a MS-63+. I am going to do a new post, and show it as before and after the upgrade.

'25-S is definitely one of those dates that's a bear to find well struck. I'm getting toward the home-stretch on my set, but it's still a hole in my album...
