Hey guys,

I've recently come across this silver Peace dollar in my house. It is extremely faint with barely visible marks. My guess I one of two things:
1.) Being extremely worn; or
2.) It went through the press wrong and wasn't punched correctly.

I am unsure about the date on the coin as it isn't visible because of a gash in the coin. Images will be below.

I'm curious on your guys' points of view. What's it worth? What's wrong with it? Thanks a lot!

Your coin is worth the melt value of silver about $25 for that one. It looks like it was beat with a hammer IMHO. Too bad for the damage it could have had potential for someones Low ball registry set..

Yup, worth melt value, and just damaged, not an error.
