So I found this at my parents house. My grandma gave them to me when I was 10 or 12. She some how saved them when she was just a young girl. I stuck them in 2x2 when she gave them to me, but I kind of forgot I had them I have a few to upload but just doing one at a time. Maybe MS-62?
Gorgeous coin Unc or MS 65. I can't see any evidence of wear or dings and the rim looks pristine There are 8 different types for this penny so value is dependant on which type it is. Regardless of the value this is a stunning coin with a fantastic wood grain
well now fellows.. fantastic coin. But be realistic.... MS 65? maybe at centsles a MS67.. a 65 does not have spots... 8 different types? how about over 200? check out rob turners books and site and Dr Haxby site.. and you will find surprises about the 1859 cent... can you post a detailed close up of the 9?
Unfortunately, that is the best I can get for a photo with the camera. I did take a look though a loop and as far as I can tell it's the basic "narrow 9"
Is that a verdigris spot just starting to develop at the bottom of the queens neck? Hope not because this is a very nice coin to look at. Dont think you would get it in a ms65 slab though.
This looks like one of the sub variations on the plain narrow 9. I think a few scattered spots here and there holds the grade down to a 62. Otherwise it is much higher. Nice woodie effect.
