Sap Moderator Australia 16890 Posts	Posted 12/25/2012 9:18 pm Once a blank is removed from its context, it's pretty much impossible to try to identify which coin it may have been intended for. You'd need a list of world coins sortable by weight; I for one don't have such a list. Of course, it may have been intended to be like this; I own several nickel-sized blank tokens that were used in US bases in Vietnam. pls Rest in Peace United States 1729 Posts	Posted 12/25/2012 9:44 pm This blank looks pretty close to the size of an older (pre-reform) one-peso piece from Mexico. In fact, I have a muled peso/half-dollar coin somewhere in the back of the drawer. Report this Post to the Staff
reports67 Valued Member United States 136 Posts	Posted 12/28/2012 5:04 pm I found out that a half dollar in 1936 to 1982 weighted 13.36 grams. The one I have is 13.2 grams. Could there be that much variation in coins. Report this Post to the Staff
