amnight Valued Member United States 332 Posts	Posted 01/12/2013 3:08 pm Hi, I have a few questions about the coin in these pictures, it is a 1907 Indian Head cent. 1. Is the 1 in the date doubled? 2. Is the 9 doubled also? 3. What is the arrow pointing to in the bottom half of the 9, is it an RPD? 4. Why is the 7 so thick and bold? Thank You. Report this Post to the Staff

beaglebailey Pillar of the Community United States 716 Posts	Posted 01/12/2013 4:04 pm There 47 varieties for the 1907 IHC, more than any other date. I believe your coin appears to be an Snow-5. Minor repunching under the flag of the 1. That repunching is hard to see because of the wear on your coin. Another repunching at the base of the '1' to the southeast, and repunching of the '9' which shows as a nub in the lower loop. Snow lists this as a scarce variety but only gives it a 2 star rating. That is a nice variety that you have. Report this Post to the Staff

I purchased a hard copy, but you can also purchase and download a copy on your computer. Your coin almost matches the picture in Snow's guide perfectly. Report this Post to the Staff
