Hello All, my first post. I have a 1876 Independence Hall "So-Called Dollar" (White Metal and UnHoled). I have only been able to find one other like it, however, it was "Holed". As far as I can tell majority were holed for wearing with some type of ribbon. I am trying to decide if this might be worth having graded and certified? Or perhaps if anyone might have any information on it. Has a lot of luster..as well as patina. Pics do not really show luster. Thank you!

look up "Ron Abler" 1876 centennial medals on Google and you should be able to find his email address, I don't want to post it here due to spammers.

Thank you bean and phillyadelphian (GO EAGLES!), I will check out Mr. abler and will post the other side as well. It is the variety missing a few details regarding the roman numerals. I can't recall exactly but I'll take another look at it. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!

The white metal composition of this design of SoCalled Dollar is the most common of the surviving examples (HK-26, R4), which includes the bronze (HK-24, R5), copper(HK-25,R5)and the rare silver(HK-23, R8).
The HK-26 is typically and often diminished by environmental damage to the delicate, reactive surfaces of white metal. Perfect new examples would be afforded a higher rarity ranking(perhaps R6-R7) by virtue of the low extant survivors.
