Quote: I obviously have broken the habit of monthly updates, but I have been carrying my pocket pieces most of the time (though not quite as reliably as some of you). Here's the progress on the 2010-D half, with some different shots to show the wear on the high points. Thank you for the update.

Thanks for the update, Mont! I haven't done one since March, but I will wait a bit more. What I really want to do is add another piece. Since mine didn't start as BU, that's what I want to add. I just have to decide on what coin to use. I want silver so it's fair play with the Morgan.

It's been a while since I did an update. Actually I dropped my Morgan on my concrete garage floor earlier today. OOOH what a sound it made...I thought it dinged it for sure. When I went to look at it I remembered it had been a while since I updated my photos. The Kennedy is silver too...well 40% anyways. If you don't want a large heavy coin like a Morgan or Peace dollar, a Franklin or Kennedy half dollar is a great choice imo.

I like the way that 67 Kennedy is looking. I think that yellow gunk helped it form that nice cameo it has going on. Makes me want to kick out my 64 and throw in a 40%er instead.

Nice! Really like how the ASE and the Ellis Island are looking. That 1967 medal, is that overstruck on a Morgan? I will probably do pictures in mid-September, when I will have had my 1921 Morgan in the pocket, almost without fail, for a year.

About 6 weeks ago I added another Morgan to my pocket. It has changed a little since then. This is what it looked like when I got it. What it looks like today after 6 weeks in my pocket. Starting to get a nice CircCam look and really making it's way towards the P01 grade I am shooting for.

Got a dirty pocket, Mont? I will wait till late September for an update because that will be a year and a half in the pocket every day. I still want to add another piece but cannot decide what it should be. I'm drawn to large dollars, but that's a bit of hardware in the pocket sometimes (depending on attire). In the end, I think it has to be another large dollar so I don't get it confused in some odd case with regular change in the same pocket.

Quote: Got a dirty pocket, Mont? I do live in the mountains of Montana. We wear blue jeans and t-shirts to work and yes sometimes they get a little dirty. Especially in the summer when all the outside chores and repairs have to be finished before winter hits again. Gathering firewood is a big part of that. We get enough for ourselves and usually fill up the elderly neighbors shed for them too. I also think that the more worn they are the faster they pick up this look. The other coins in my pocket still look like they do in my photos above.

I only switched to shorts about three weeks ago. Appreciate those mountains.
