Sebrabo! Those look great. I am also curious as to how the Netherlands €5 will wear and it's an interesting coin. I am still carrying the (formerly gold-plated) Morgan. I have yet to get current pics.

Welcome, Shoeplier! Those look like good choices. I don't want to carry small coins, but I have been considering adding another large coin to the pocket and a silver Maple Leaf would be a nice fit with the Morgan. Whatever it ends up being, I want to start from UNC so I can really appreciate the wear over time.

I have carried a '78 ike and a '97 Kennedy half in my coin purse for 20+ years. The other day my Ike came up missing. I knew it had to have fallen out of my coin holder somewhere in my day, figuring I would wait it out and see if it reappeared. Well, well, WELL last night I had to brake suddenly in my car and out slide my Ike from under the passenger seat!! Whoooooooop whooooop I can't even explain the smile on my face looking down at that shiny Ike on the floor board.

Lightnin' Hopkins recorded a tune called "Mojo Hand" in which he sang of going to Louisiana to get himself a mojo hand. A couple years ago I was in New Orleans for a few days. On the first day while wandering around the French Quarter on foot I realized that I was in Louisiana and if Lightnin' Hopkins could go to Louisiana and get himself a mojo hand I could get my own mojo hand. So I did. I found a place to sit down and do some Google searches for "mojo hand" so I would know what ingredients to look for. The most essential piece was a High John The Conqueror root. I found a new age shop on Decatur Street. They had some roots. But they didn't have any High John The Conqueror roots. I went back online to see if there was another shop within walking distance. I found it on the corner of Decatur Street and Dumaine Street. But that shop was more about oils, crystals, and fortune telling. I asked if they knew where I could find a High John The Conqueror root. They said it was about two blocks down on the same side of the street on Dumaine Street. On the walk, before I had walked a block, I saw a shop across the street. They had a big jar of High John The Conqueror roots. I bought one. I asked if they had a green bag to put it in. They didn't. But they said I could wrap something green around it. I wrapped a five dollar bill around the root and put it in my pocket. For the next couple days that was my mojo hand. But I added things to it. A few days later I was in a graveyard on Washington Avenue in Central City. I saw some dirt on the ground next to a tomb. I realized it was genuine graveyard dirt. I picked some up and put it in my pocket. When I got back to my hotel room I put the graveyard dirt and High John The Conqueror root wrapped in a five dollar bill in a small plastic bag. I also put a small copper round with a donkey on it in the bag. When I got back home I made a cloth bag and put the contents of the plastic bag in it. It was after I made a bag for my mojo hand that I put some coins in it. In the bag are an 1853 Three Cents silver with a hole in it, an Indian Head cent, a WWII Alabama sales tax token, a Chinese cash coin, a Japanese cash coin, an early 1900s Chinese 10 cash coin, and an aluminum agora from Israel. I also wrapped a two dollar bill around the five dollar bill that is wrapped around the High John The Conqueror root. The mojo hand is in my pocket right now. I only take it out of my pocket when I go to bed. On the rare occasion that I forget to put my mojo hand in my pocket and realize later it is not there it is always in the first place I think of where it might be. I always have it in my pocket when I am playing music or I am at a coin store.

Quote: Well, um, yeah. Are you a practitioner of Hoodoo? I probably know more about hoodoo than the average bear. But if I practice it at all it is only in a roundabout way. I think focusing on what I want makes things happen more than having a mojo hand does, especially since I figured out how to acquire a mojo hand. I found out toward the end of my trip that I could have just bought a prepackaged mojo hand from a tourist shop on Bourbon Street. But I went out and found the ingredients for my mojo hand individually while wandering around New Orleans by myself. Had I bought a prepackaged mojo hand I wouldn't have gone on those adventures.
