Couldn't believe it, got a 1912 Liberty nickel in change today at a local retailer. Condition is just good but Hey!

Great find! I think I've found two before.
Both in sad condition...

I highly doubt that the coin has been in circulation since the early 1900s.
I'm sure someone's nickel went missing, taken by a young one, a thief, or an unknowing heir...

Great find! I found a dateless buffalo last year and I thought that was pretty cool but doesn't hold a candle to that find.

You omitted the possibility of collectors possessing extra Barber Nickels
and deliberately spending them so that a new collector may be born.
Well worn Vs do not command any premium save the big three.
