I don't trust Talisman, especially on hot coins.
Stay away from this company.

Quote: Stay away from this company. That's correct for "hot" items. I believe, people had different experience with this company. I ordered 3 times several items ($200 each order), and got it quickly no issues.

Talisman is RCM authorized dealer but still can do what ever it wants. Including delay shipping, cancel order and raise price. Numerous complaints heard in RFD and this forum. I personally purchased some "hot" coins from Talisman and faced trouble. Therefore, STAY AWAY.

You are correct, about a year and half ago contacted the RCM person responsible for dealer issues, he had the incredible response of the RCM has dealer rules of not selling above issue price until the RCM declares a coins sellout, but they choose not to enforce it. Only a few RCM dealers abide with the provision.

john100, which dealers are abiding with the provision they won't sell above issue price until RCM declares a sellout? Not a single dealer today offered the gold Superman coin at issue price.

Canadian Coin and Currency, J M, Gatewest sells a few at issue, probably a few more not familiar with. you don't see the first two dealers mentioned too often have more coins hours latter available at higher prices.

Check out the real coin from the article about Fun Expo: http://www.thestar.com/entertainmen..._canada.htmlThanks to the member on the other forum, who posted it. The coin actually looks great (although still appears as money-maker item for RCM). Will go there, to the Expo, hope it will be fun for my kid.

just checked and CA has them on pre order for 999CAD but I'm going with Talisman at 850USD..but this is my first order with them......I heard a lot of negative comments on them at the last 2013 gold superman but it all seemed to evaporate when the buyers got their coins ....anyways if I get all the superman 2014 coins I've paid for I will be very happy indeed.....from now on its popcorn time...

Good luck Cassidy77 ! I hope everything works out for you and you get your Superman 2014 coin.
Did you check to see if there is any duty, brokerage charges or HST on it at the border ? Just wondering if the $999 CDN might end up being cheaper in the long run ? I'm sure you probably did your homework.
I talked to a girl at CP on Wednesday who is going to try to order one for me at 6AM (ADT) on Tuesday morning when she starts work. They are also ordering the 3 silver coins and she's saving 1 of each for me. Hopefully there will be a charge on my credit card from CP when I wake up Tuesday morning.

According to todays' end (however, the day hasn't ended yet), the 2014 gold Superman coin will be available for $999, and this is where the price will set.
I might mistake, since, like I said in the beginning, today isn't really the day, when the people look for the coins. Surprisingly, people wasn't aware about starting sales day.

A lot of people were not aware of its release today, most thought it would coincide with Canada Post's release but in actuality it was released when the mint unveiled the designs at Fan Expo, but I feel they should have done it at Montreal Comic-con. Also has anyone non-MC received the Mint catalogue today, I

unless you routinely collect NCLT I would be surprised that information about sales days etc would be known..many of the Superman coin buyers are in it for the Superman appeal...like myself....we dont usually buy coins through the RCM or canada Post..and this release came as a complete shock to me personally even after following the first 2013 Superman release religiously..i probably would have ordered the gold through CA but this morning after silveroids post they were soldout already so I went with Talisman...now CA have listed them again.....i dont really care where I get them as long as I get something!...there is something kind of enjoyable about the anarchy which has surrounded this release...so much for RCM planning....I only hope their shipping dept is more organized
