dru New Member Canada 27 Posts	Posted 03/12/2015 5:21 pm I know it isn't the best photo ..but trust me when I say the outside of this dime is all gold ( tone ) ..I have seen coins with wear that show discoloration but this is perfectly all the way round and on both sides ..the rest of the coin is just as it should be ..i looked with a magnifying glass to see if I could find any other gold showing through ..and nothing ..i also found it to be ever so slightly thinner than the other dimes ..does anyone have any idea's as to what this could be from? rocky Pillar of the Community Canada 2784 Posts	Posted 03/12/2015 6:58 pm dru hello .if I am seeing correctly there is a lot more than that wrong with your dime. your dime appears to be not grooved, on the outside of the rim. take a moment and feel for the grooves. if they are not there then the dime missed a step in pressing or something was wrong with the dies. if the grooves are missing try to get a picture of that and post it the members here will help you . they know there stuff. get a picture and then they will tell you Report this Post to the Staff

ace_ftw Pillar of the Community Canada 1747 Posts	Posted 03/12/2015 8:43 pm When these coins are used in vending maches as well as being through the wash a few times, the grooves are worn away. I see literally dozens of these coins a week going roll hunting. This is a spender. Report this Post to the Staff
