A teller at my dump bank, offered me 10 Ikes from her personal stash, and I picked them up today. One had a small hole drilled in it, 4 '76D, '76, '74D, '78D, '72D, '71, '77D. Currently I have 297 Ikes. Living the dream, Webekin

I stopped at 2 banks last night and found 1 Ike. Just a common circulated '71D, but I'll gladly take it :)

pan4au, I have found a total of about 1,000 Ikes at various banks over the last 4 years of asking, so I'm certain you will score Ikes in the future if you try...Good luck!

Here's a new one: I asked the head teller at one of my banks to order $1,000 worth of Ikes about 1 month ago. She told me there was no guarantee, but she would call (Ikes do not show on her coin order form) the bank's coin vault (courier) and make the request. A few days later she reported she had tried to order the Ikes, but their coin vault (courier) didn't have any. I asked her to try again in a few weeks, and told her I would take whatever amount she could get, and she agreed.
She called me a moment ago and told me she had $100 worth of Ikes waiting for me. She admitted she had received $500 worth today, but her coworkers at the bank bought all but the $100 she purposely set aside for me...I have been sniped! I'm certain if there was a silver coin, it didn't end up in my stack. I will not complain, but instead bring her chocolate to prep her for a future order.
Oh well, as they say, or as they should say, *clears throat* "An Ike (or 100 Ikes) in the hand is worth more than an Ike (or 100 Ikes) in the wild" :)
I'll report any significant finds here.

Given 1 quick time through, only 1 significant find, which was 1 gold plated 72D.
When I picked up the $100 worth of Ikes, the head teller asked if I was willing to buy the Ikes her coworkers fail to follow through on at the end of this month. I handed her chocolate, and I said of course...I'm certain I've made a friend :)
