Here is another Leopold Coin. I believe it is an Austrian Thaler, but there are so many different ones that I can never nail them down. This is another part of an inherited collection and I now know more about Leopold Hogmouth than I had ever imagined. Any help identifying is appreciated. Also there is a bit of a "roll" in this coin. Is that normal?

Hi there,

These were minted using roller presses and therefore the curvature.

A very impressive collection of Austrian thalers. I thought I had something as many years ago, when I just finished grad school back in the 80's, I bought an unc Hogmouth from Karl Stephens: a common 1699 I believe. However, it's nothing compared to your collection!

I'll try to contact you on your website, as this year (2015) after at least 10 or 15 years, I also bought another thaler.
