These are really remarkable results. I used to look at a lot of these back in the early '70's and saw most of these in about the same proportions. There were a lot fewer foreign coins and a few more War Nickels. I'm most surprised by how few of the '51-S's you found. It's also a little surprising you've found so many '38's.

Hi cladking! Interesting you mention the 51s - just added another one in the above post; now have found 2! And I am also surprised by the number of 1938's, but I haven't found any for a few weeks now. Hi graceoutcast!
I don't have a working digital camera at the moment, but let me try to rustle up a scan of it.

Anyone know what this might be? Moderator: I put this coin to ID here as I received a question regarding this coin in this thread. Please feel free to move it to the ID forum if you see fit.

It's from Thailand. ...Quite modern and probably common.

Sorry Cladking, I fell asleep!
Thanks for the answer; I'll research to find out the name of their basic denomination, because the coin is probably some multiple of that. Might be modern and common, but found in a roll of nickels in America's heartland; it's very unusual!

XoG, 2008P shouldn't take you too long (if I count those I need seven, as I haven't even seen a 2008 P or D yet)

Thailand coins are a special headache..
I think it's a 2547 (aka 2004) 1 Baht. Might want to get a second confirmation from someone more knowledgable than me.
