Nice box chip! But my vote is for the 1907 V nickel. The 1983S is certainly worthy of a pic, but what an exciting find to find a V nickel.

Yes. I'd personally rather find a circulated V nickel than an eighties proof. Still, they're both good finds.

Numisma, For $12 I was able to get the following. One for 5 and one for 7. Not sure why the difference in price but I was thrilled regardless. Also, I tried to get a picture of the '50-D but it's not that great.

Sorry for them being sideways.

I also found a 1989 1 Colon from Costa Rica! First costa Rican coin in my collection. I also found a dime which is always a plus.

No buffalos, no War Nickels. Very disappointed there. I was able to fill all but 1 hole from 1962-2015 though in my secondary Jefferson set which was nice.

I also picked out about 10-15 Canadian nickels. Looks like I need a folder for those now.

I found a 1955 nickel which has the 6th (I think) lowest mintage of the series at 7,888,000.

I picked out 17 coins from the 40's and 13 coins from the 50's. I neglected to keep anything 58D or later.

It feels good to be back!

1955 was not the lowest mintage, but it is low. I found one recently, weakly struck as they all are.

Duncanbishop24, that's great. In the first picture I could see the one coin standing out, and sure enough, it's the 1950-D.

Working on a box this weekend. I would have held off until December, but when I was in the bank for something else, one of the tellers remembered that I collect nickels and mentioned that they had mistakenly ordered more boxes of nickels than they really wanted to have on hand. So....just helping them out :) Some good finds so far, more details when I'm done with the box.

Finished the box. The streak continues! Got a 1951-S. Down to 13 open slots. Also 2 dateless buffaloes and a few upgrades including a very nice 1938-P.

Numisma, yeah I got a steal with those two sets. Always nice to find the '55 as well. It was an upgrade.

Also, I filled all my holes from 1959-2015 in my backup set, except for '68-S. Added a few to fill holes in the 38-57 range that I need too.

Is there even such a thing as a FS '55? I know they were all incredibly weak, as evidenced by the one I've gotten so far. My two '55-Ds are much better though.
