It has a wonky luster break on the reverse and in the exact shape of a cross. Is this normal, or has it been cleaned or perhaps an ex jewelry job? Keep or return? What do you all think. I'll give a acetone treatment if nothing changes which I think will happen then it's getting returned, of course the seller didn't mention this and I thought it was just lighting giving off the effect. IndianGoldEagle Bedrock of the Community United States 36916 Posts	Posted 07/15/2016 5:26 pm It's an AU-58 and worth $400. If you want a nice one for a type set, you'll have to spend a little more. Acetone only takes off any tape residue left. Looks like the luster is disturbed in that area on reverse and nothing will restore it. Report this Post to the Staff

BuckeyeCoinGuy Pillar of the Community United States 711 Posts	Posted 07/17/2016 5:12 pm If you can return it do it. My LCS sells nicer ones than that for under $400. Gold is up a bit since I have bought one slabbed, but I think $400 would get you a low MS $5 half eagle still if you hunt it hard enough.
