I agree it is a struck through. Coin scratches don't make corners quickly and have definite ends. I often wondered what makes these. Sometimes it is glue, thread, fiber, wire ETC. What ever is in the way of the strike will show on the coin. I found a coin once with what ever it is that does this still attached to the coin:


I called it an ugly cent when I found it. (it was in an OBW roll) Then I looked closer and realize it was what was causing an issue during the strike. So I put it away with the fibers still attached.
