Hi I used to collect Lincoln Penny, I have no idea about this dollar coin. Is this coin legit? Is it worth to invest some money?

Thanks in advance.

Almost certainly a cast counterfeit.

Check the edge for mold lines or evidence of attempts to remove or fill a mold line.

Thank you moxking and coin197.

I do not fully understand what moxking said but I am happy I asked you before bidding.

Bold, full rims are a giveaway. These were open collar strikes that don't have rims that strong when first struck, let alone after wearing down from circulation. Counterfeit.
