Help! I bought these sets through ebay for reasonable amounts; the seller has offered me a refund b/c although I gave them positive feedback, I mentioned the impairments of some coins and they thought that feedback to be too "ambiguous."
What type of impairment are these brownish smears? These coins, while uncirculated, are from the San Francisco area, and I fear the seals on some of the cells of the packets have become opened, exposing some of the coins to that great, humid, SF atmosphere.
The 69 Kennedy half shows another kind of impairment that appears on the JFK and some of the other coins in the set.
What are these marks/stains? And, can/should they be fixed?
Thanks again!

If you can, I'd simply return them. That 59 Franklin has such evil edge dings that it would never be a great coin - by that I mean 63 or higher, which are still very plain grades all the way up to 66.
moxking: Yes; I noticed that, too. The seller is "cleaning out my dad's junk drawer;" I suspect that he didn't necessarily keep the kiddoes from looking at the coins occasionally. Thanks for the advice!
