Pics are very fuzzy.

I was quoted a mintage number of 220,000.

I was wondering how accurate that is.

Beware top quality fakes with these.

I had the bad experience of being deceived by top quality fakes of other very scarce Australian silver coins.

Take great care to compare visually side by side with a known genuine example, or take to a leading numismatic auctioneer for a respected opinion.

For my eye it looks quite ok, but my opion is not of the same level as that of a leading numismatic auctioneer. Fields look slightly pasty to me.

220,000 is correct, you can get mintage figures along with values for all the shillings here:
https://bluesheet.com.au/Commonweal...933_Shilling

Just remember these numbers reflect the original quantity minted, being 92.5% silver, a lot of them would have been melted so the actual surviving count is much lower.

The 1933 is rare, and very widely copied.

The imaged coin shows none of the characteristics of a copied/forged coin and is likely genuine.

It's been cleaned at some point but that doesn't detract much from the value of a gF/aVF 1933 shilling which on Australian ebay is about a hundred dollars.

The scarcest date for this type.

I had another and closer look at it.
From the pictures alone, I think it is quite genuine.
Cat value in this condition around $130 U.S.
