Can anybody provide their expertise please? I don't have my Charlton at hand right now.

I found this 1999 toonie in some change.

If I remember correctly, there weren't any released in general circulation?

Based on the finish, is this proof?

Thanks

If it was proof, I believe it would be silver with gold plating.

Most likely a Proof Like. Put a magnet to it and see if it's magnetic or not. A proof 1999 toonie, being silver, should be non-magnetic.

Also the scanned pictures make it difficult to determine the plating.

Nice find!

This would be proof-like. Not worth a great premium due to the condition but a keeper nonetheless. Here's the one I found almost 4 years ago.

My scan is terrible, but comparing the one in my hand to your photo, it's proof like. Thanks for the photos.
