sel_69l Bedrock of the Community Australia 21788 Posts	Posted 10/04/2017 05:45 am My reasoning is that it is not exactly a struck through error, because what had got in the way during striking is now gone. Looks to be a metallic inclusion in the planchet, or a metallic particle impressed into the surface of the planchet during striking. Either way, to my thinking, it is a planchet error. From what I can see...it looks like a smudge and not something that is pressed into the coin; but like I said; without better photos I really couldn't tell you. Sorry.
