Chase007 Pillar of the Community United States 7530 Posts	Posted 10/13/2017 6:03 pm I see what you are referring to( the bottom portion of the 1 of date is narrower than the top)simply put, it is due to a worn die issue in which devices no longer are struck as perfectly as they were intended to. Halo1st Pillar of the Community United States 2775 Posts	Posted 10/14/2017 09:50 am I agree the "1", the "columns" also "TY" in liberty and bridge of nose seem thin down from die polishing. Wondering if the rims are struck up fully or weak? I'm used to seeing the 1960's era strikes with a more bold high relief. This strike as a whole seems weak to me. When the die is over polished on that area, some of the mid devices are altered. Here is why it happens on that area: Note the contact edge of the bust flowing over that area.
