2001 Estados Unidos Mexicanos 2 Pesos Coin Error?

Bdhalfback30 New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 12/30/2017 9:39 pm I've been trying to find if this is an error coin or not for a while. The borders on the front and back seem to be reversed, and I can not find another like it. The border that says "Estados Unidos Mexicanos" is on the side of the coin with "$2" and on all others I've seen it has the "Estados Unidos Mexicanos" border on the side with the coat of arms emblem. Second, as it appears as though the innore core has absorbed a significant hit, I wonder if the two parts of this coin were forceably separated, reversed, an then put back together? Just spitballin' a guess--others should weigh in too. Bdhalfback30 New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 12/30/2017 10:48 pm I thought the same thing but the picture actually makes it look like the seem is 1000x worse than it actually is because of the weird shadowing. It's actually really in tact and sealed pretty evenly. It definitely is possible though, as that duvet right in the middle could be from a forceful prying Report this Post to the Staff

Coopertron5000 Pillar of the Community United Kingdom 516 Posts	Posted 12/31/2017 06:15 am with the others, this a common thing with the new pound coins in the UK, ebay was flooded with them. I've heard if you freeze the coin the core pops out alot easier. Report this Post to the Staff
