It's an Austrian coin I think.

Yep. This one.

Your coin is from the Austrian Empire, a 1 kreuzer. WCG example.

It's... not supposed to have that huge hole in the shield on the reverse like that.

For coin IDing, you can also try Coin World Gallery. They have a very big guide with coins and pics from almost anywhere you can think of. I doubt their value guide is accurate but the IDing is.

Hello.
It is KM 2186 from Austria, without mintmark. The coin is made of copper and it is not hard to find it in a better grade. The most interesting thing is the design was kept during 1851-1891 and there were similar designs in some contemporary German states.

Is a bit backwards for identifying, but heritagecoin.com have a ugh archives from prior sales.
