@SilverRoosevelt -

I misread the press release. There was a coin forum on Feb 5th from 6:30-730PM.

I didn't scroll down to see that the coin pour and exchange was at 10AM on the 6th.

My fault!

Free quarters for those under 18. Wasn't this a school day? How many under 18 would be there?

All I was thinking when I watched the "coin pour" was how fast several bags of Mint-State coins can turn into AU's. Every 'ping' and 'ching' I heard felt like a needle poking my stomach.

AU (actual circulation wear) might be a stretch, but MS-60 and MS-61 (multiple nicks and dings) for sure.

i found something interesting on my first three Lincoln cents of the new year.

yes, I found these in my pocket change. I got them in change either from a coffee I bought early in the night, or from grocery shopping early in the morning. shiny new Lincolns from philly.

notice this anomaly on all three reverses. note the line through the T in CENT on the reverse. two look very similar, one looks a tad different in position. I see some evidence of a scrubbed die, maybe there was a die crack or something there, unless that's a strike-through. I should post this on the variety/error forum. I have to get clearer pix of each coin tomorrow & will post these over on the error/variety forum.

sorry that last image is a speck blurry, but you can still make out the same interesting anomaly on each coin.

i know I'm late for this party with the pix- the challenge has been won- but I found it odd to have new cents here in key west so soon. typically don't begin seeing new cents til spring/summer. but here they are, likely been here a little while longer, but these are the first I've seen.

Some food for thought, did anybody else notice that the Lincoln Cent Shield reverse was changed to a higher relief design? Comparing it to the other bu 2018 and 2017 rolls I have it's definitely higher relief.

*The obverse is lower relief around the head, but the bust and hair is higher too.

I don't have any 2019's to compare it with.
