Hello. Came across this specimen while getting my daughter into the hobby filling up a penny collection book. The ridge in on the bottom lower right seems a bit odd. Any suggestions on what it is

It looks like you got a Rim Fin, from strong striking pressure. http://www.error-ref.com/finning/

@MS*@, first welcome to CCF. Second, I agree nice rim fin--worth saving in a 2x2.

I agree with E&V above, if the reverse, the edge and diameter are normal. Thanks, Doug.

The reverse seems normal. The added images have a different contrast. The new obverse image still suggest similar as previously described.

To me it shows a slight tilted die strike or just slightly misaligned. Both can create a similar appearance due to the additional gap created to one side during the strike.

If both obverse and reverse show similar symptoms, then I check the edge closer as well, to eliminate any potential collar issues. Thanks, Doug.

I agree with Halo, my first thought would be a slight misaligned Die as well.
