I'm not used to seeing 'pock marks' in greek coins, but is this normal? Also, I see a lightning bolt, but I don't know which side on the observe is "up" lol. ANything helpful would be appreciated. I don't think it can be anyone but Antiochus IX, as this legend is seemingly unique to him (ΒΑΣΙΛΕΟΣ ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΣ [Φ]ΙΛΟΠΑΤ[ΟΡΟΣ] (King Antiochos Philopater)). Antiochus X also called himself Philopater, but his coinage always bears his other title of Eusebes immediately before this. Report this Post to the Staff
