What Happened To This 1979 P Lincoln Memorial Cent / LMC

It kind of looks like it might have been struck through something but I don't know what. Would love to have your thoughts on it. Thank you! Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 06/04/2019 1:17 pm Looks like it was affected by a mild acid bath. (perhaps a soda product for a time) On a normal acid bath they use a stronger acid that reduces the coin a lot faster. It can thin and narrow a coin if the stronger acid is used. Probably just a slight reduction of weight on your coin. No premium. Just a damaged coin. Report this Post to the Staff
