Errers and Varietys Bedrock of the Community United States 77872 Posts	Posted 06/05/2019 7:17 pm Nope, that's Machine Doubling, because the size of the devices have been reduced in size, and is shelflike in appearance. Not a Doubled Die. A true Doubled Die would happen in the die making process, before the die is even used to strike coins. A true Doubled Die is a die with doubling on the die itself. Machine Doubling is caused by the strike itself (die moves a little during the strike), so therefore, it's not a Doubled Die. Errers and Varietys. Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 06/06/2019 01:24 am A lot of the DDO's this year show on the date area, but on the tops of the devices: Wexler listed some doubled working hubs issues on proof cents. http://doubleddie.com/307701.html Just spotted this now. So there are a lot of proof coins out there with that type of WWHO issues. Now I have to go back through all the examples and figure out if they are any of these.
