So today I was going through a collection of my grandfather's and found this curious dime floating around with an uncirculated nickel. I know nothing about coin errors and was hoping to get some help here.
The United in United States of America has the nit blobbed over. There is also a big error right in the center. The face of the coin is fine. What do you all think?
Dan John Longano, An area of a coin struck by a die that has a complete break across part of its surface. A Cud may be either a Retained Cud, where the faulty piece of the die is still in place, or a full Cud, where the piece of the die has fallen away. Retained Cuds usually have dentil detail if on the edge, while full Cuds do not. John1
