Help In Identifying Small Copper Coin

CAM68 New Member United Kingdom 15 Posts	Posted 12/27/2019 12:27 am Hi -- I'd be grateful for any thoughts or suggestions as to the identity of this small copper coin, which I've had for many years. I am guessing it may be European and perhaps late medieval, but I don't really know. On the first pic, I see that the inscription may start SAM--perhaps that is St. Mark? If your could repost the second one in focus, that would be super-helpful. The cross looks floriated, but the focus isn't sharp enough for me to read any of the inscription.
