I Heard That Close Word Spacing On 2019 Nickel Were Errors. Is It True?

It could possibly be a design variety, but it wouldn't be one created accidentally like a doubled die, it would have to have been engraved that way intentionally. Even then, it would have had to have only been used on a small proportion of 2019 nickels for it to carry a premium (see: close/wide AM penny varieties). Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 05/08/2020 9:58 pm It is not spacing if it is part of the design. 1. Machine Doubling doesn't increase the value on coins. 2. A doubled die does increase the value of the coin. So know what years to look at will help. So check the doubled die sites to see what to look for, rather than pick out what is different you find in change. 3. A damage coin will not bring anything more than face value.
