I am thinking 1909, but please double check my work because I do not know Japanese.

If I am reading it correctly, I think it says #24180;#20108;#21313;#22235;#27835;#26126;, which translates to "Year 42 of Meiji's reign, AKA 1909.

I used the Japanese date translator on Numista.com
https://en.numista.com/numisdoc/cal...nese-34.html and then I looked for the coin and the 1909 year line looks like a match. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces4433.html

edited to say I see that it is changing the Japanese characters that I posted into weird numbers and I don't know how to post those characters properly. Sorry

Gincoin43 is correct.

This will help date such coins:

Many of the asian coin dates work on a similar system just need to spot year character and work from there.
