I received an SBA Dollar 1979-P Wide Rim coin from ebay. The texture is different than my other SBA coins. The texture is rough, almost like it was die cast. Is this common for SBA coin? Thanks. I'm thinking it may be counterfeit.

It's likely going to be a worn die strike.

When the die wears out metal is eroded from the face leaving tiny little "dimples" all over the coin.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.
