These were in a colection box:
They start at 1947-1951 consecutive.
1953-1963
1948
1950-1951
1953-1967

My-6-Pences-In-Gory-60kb-Glory.

I have a huge bunch of unsorted but as a breakdown:

Randoms are:
2 x 1947
4 x 1948
1 x 1951
12 x 1954
18 x 1955
13 x 1936
24 x 1957

all in I have 231 6 Pences!

Hi SueCoin - you may as well put a set together and keep them, but I'm afraid the only post-1946 date that is worth anything is 1952.

There are, however, some scarce varieties that are not widely collected - there's a thread here about a 1956 sixpence:

zookeeperz is probably CCF's GB variety expert: it's a fascinating field of study if you want to get into it!

Its a given its a field I'm getting into. I spend litterally all day pouring over them and hate asking for help but am getting loads here!
These coins came out of the blue and I litterally thought it was all scrap as it weighed a ton on the bus.
Sadly my dad had two huge wall units with presumably his best things but its all away to auction as I keep seeing paperwork / certificates for rare coins not in my collection.
Wish I had paid more attention to his hobby but we didnt really get on.

Thanks for advice.
Sue
