1912 D Liberty V Nickel Strikethrough Error?

I was thinking this is a strikethrough, but not sure how to tell the difference between legitimate strikethrough or just damage. Opinions and perhaps an approx. value of the coin? I am not really sure how to describe in detail what a strikethrough looks like. Try googling strikethrough images and look at many different examples. Suffering from bust half fever.
