And since PCGS just started doing this "Genuine" service, the coin has been slabbed very recently. Maybe it got moved from an ANACS slab? PCGS will not give a grade I don't think on coins they mark "genuine". It would be nice for them to label the problem, like cleaned, scratched or whatever... Report this Post to the Staff

But, I would think that the owner would have been better off sending it to ANACS; after all, they will put a grade on it and then state the problem, right? Even though the PCGS holder has more prestige, I would trade that off to have it in a reputable company's holder with a grade on it. Report this Post to the Staff
