That coin is killer!

"Grease" is a bit humorous here. That letter T was like 50% grease and 50% grit or something that then got compacted by 1000 die strikes into a substance hard enough to stamp a coin as if it were solid steel.

Pretty awesome to have a one-of-a-kind example that's so clear.

Thanks Dearborn for your excellent description of how grease can harden, causing a dropped letter to become attached to a die. I'm curious, does the hardened grease fall off when struck? Making this a one of a kind? Or, is it more durable, and can be struck onto more coins?
