Not a contribution to the spending, but I took some American cruise passengers on a tour of Canterbury today and a couple of them tipped me with $2 bills.

I made a small purchase at the grocery store yesterday and tendered eight dollars in twos. They were all crisp, uncirculated Series 2017A in sequence. The cashier was absolutely amazed that I was paying with twos and went on and on about how new they looked and how they must be worth a lot more than two dollars each. I said, "They look almost real don't they?" I then assured her they were real, I got them at the bank, and they were really worth only two dollars. She continued to talk about how cool they were. On the way out I thought about it a bit so I went back and gave her one more as a tip. She was really excited about that. $99,856.00 to go.
