1952-D And 1947 Lincoln Wheat Cents

I don't know if the '52 d is anything although the 5 and the 2 look to have some out of the norm characteristics. The '47 I believe is a doubled die, but I need some different opinions. coppercoins Pillar of the Community United States 7629 Posts	Posted 05/04/2009 11:21 am Umm, no. I disagree. The 1952D is a normal cent with Machine Doubling. The 1947 is 1947P-1DO-001, a decent class 1 doubled die. I can tell from the notching on the 4 and 7. Report this Post to the Staff

hasfam Valued Member United States 93 Posts	Posted 05/04/2009 5:34 pm I didn't see anything in the pics at first either, but after Chuck pointed out the notches and the listing number I could definately see it. I guess it was the angle the pic was taken but my eyes were focusing on the NW part of the date. After comparing cconrad's pics with a pic of a 1947P-1DO-001 it all came together. It was hard for me to get the lighting right for the pics, so it was a little hard to see the notching but you can really tell it when you look straight down on it.
