Late updates. I have other hobbies that I have been neglecting, when I got back into coins I sold off a few of my eyepieces *from my telescopes* that I wasn't using, but there are times I realized I shouldn't have sold them, so in May I pick up a few new ones mostly for solar viewing. Recently I was out taking pictures and my DSLR isn't working right so I have been saving for a few months to get a replacement, as the prices have gone up saving is taking longer. That means that coin collecting is on the back burner. My eyepiece case, of the smaller eyepieces (1.25"), 4 are new. Of the below, I haven't worked on any item. 1) Add the missing coins to my slabbed 7070. 2) Add the missing coins to my slabbed Indian Head cent3) Add the missing notes to my US currency type set. 4) Add any missing coins to my coins from Portugal Type Set. 5) Add any missing notes to my currency from Portugal Type set. 6) Upgrade any coins that I can from my albums I did pick up 2 new coins for my Portugal Type set, but that a 3rd quarter update. I'm hoping in 4th quarter to add a missing Morgan to my Morgan Date Set.

I'll be taking a break as some medical and dental bills have come due.
Not just that but I also want to figure out what I want to accomplish numismatically-wise . I think Ive accomplished my first task of converting my low interest currency accounts to PMs, where they can retain and grow in peace without Govt. interference.
Now I just want to collect but I need a game plan and a goal since at my age I need to involve my kid since he'll be taking over my Legacy after I croak.
Or I might just travel the world in coinage, beautiful coinage, with no real goal in mind. but I'll be taking a few months off either way.

Kind of a quiet 3Q highlighted in red (good quarter for my wallet) 1. Catch up on processing acquisitions from 2024 (not a lot, for better or for worse, but I seem to be getting more disorganized in retirement). 3Q: Last year's done. Have a small pile now from earlier this year 2. Continue to add early dated/datable coins in the 1400s, 1300s and "decade coins" earlier. Last year's goal was 3 to 5, and I wound up with 11 (5 dated and 6 dateable). I'll go with a goal of 5 this year, since I think the dated ones will get tougher. 1Q-2Q Added dateable coins of 1243 (Sicily), 1427, 1462 and 1468 (Florence) 3Q: Zip3. Continue to grow collection and knowledge of saints on medieval coins. Last year I added 14 in this theme, and 15 the year before. 1Q-2Q: St. Hermagoras (Aquileia, Italy), St. Paternian (Papal States-Fano) and St. Medard (France) 3Q: I added an early (mid-13th c.) Florence type with John the Baptist4. Continue work on Numista catalog. 1Q-2Q: Added a co-referee to help in Low Countries, and added 300+ listings to the catalog, mostly medieval Italy and Byzantine. 3Q: Added about 100 more listings, mostly Low Countries (Liege and Nijmegen) and Crusader States (Lesbos/Mytilene and Chios)

Thank you, tdziema. The Morgan & Peace Rev Proof sets are better left until a year or two down the road from the secondary market. . .not worth paying the Mint issue price -- $215 -- when they can be had for less later or as graded singles. . .

Jbuck,
Can you elaborate on you moving your world coins to Dansco pages? I have a ton of French fifth republic sites coins to organize but would rather not go the 2x2 route. I know Whitman has various coin sized blank pages but Dansco pages would be hard to come by.

Ideally I would have various Dansco millimeter sized pages for a variety of sizes. Yes, these pages are difficult to find, which is why that project seems to be in perpetual delay, even though I managed to order some of what I wanted a couple of years ago. I hope one day Dansco starts making these again so I can continue. To "label" the holes, I am thinking about inserting some nice heavy stock between the pages, emulating the information sheets included with the Presidential dollar and ATB Quarter albums. Ideally, they would be printed, not handwritten.
