I was already buying another coin from that seller with free shipping, and I figured why not let him take a little profit. I believe this is a slightly off center strike. The obverse top seems way thicker than the reverse bottom. Both the obverse bottom and the reverse top are much shallower and thinner in the rim definition. Report this Post to the Staff

Misaligned Die A misaligned die typically only affects one side of a coin, the misalignment occurs when the hammer die is not properly aligned with the anvil die, resulting in an offset design on just one face of the coin while the other side appears normal. Off center strike strike off center" on a coin affects both sides of the coin, meaning the design will be misaligned on both the obverse and reverse faces, as the coin was not struck fully centered on the planchet during the minting process.
