Wassup all! I haven't been on here much lately, but I did get into $500 cust roll dimes today, and pulled 5 rosies.
Was able to get my wife involved in the search, and daughter and son (for a split second).
That makes $15,000 in hand rolled searched since the new year. The mercs and canadian silver just dried up since about June. I've found 8 mercs this year, but I've dug 3 times that many, there are millions of mercs buried randomnly across the US-

Nice to see a fellow detectorist on the forum. I don't roll hunt much, every now and then I get the urge so I'll pick up some halves or nickels. I should do some dimes sometime, seems like people come across silver dimes more often than I would think.

Your right ffd, I don't know if you saw my post a couple of pages ago. My first metal detecting silver was a 42 merc! Surprisingly it was only about an inch down. And shinystuff6 I dont know if you know but there's a seperate metal detecting section on here.

I have heard that too about Mercury dimes. Does anyone know the reason for that? Meaning why it was done, and what it was done with Mercury dimes rather than any other coins.

so tomorrow I finally have a day off, and hopefully can find some coin to look through. It's been about a month and my teller moved to a different bank. Hopefully I can talk one of the commercial tellers at one of my dump banks to pick up where the other guy left off
keep up the searching. I enjoy reading everyone's finds even though I'm out of the game right now
