Reversed 3 Legger In ANACS Slab? - Coin Community Forum

weerdsteev Pillar of the Community United States 1291 Posts	Posted 04/30/2010 9:22 pm I just got my 1937-D 3 legged Buffalo nickel back from ANACS and they put it in the slab with the reverse side showing through the front side of the slab. (The side that has the grade and the year/mm/denomination.) Is that normal? Do they do that because the 3 legged bison is the most important feature on the coin? They used to only do it when they were asked but I guess everyone seemed to want theirs with the side that had the special variety showing on the side with the grade label so now they just do it by default Report this Post to the Staff

cownas22 Pillar of the Community United States 1055 Posts	Posted 05/08/2010 11:23 am they put the reverse on the front if the reverse contains the significance of the coin, like the 3-legged. These areespecially common with the State Quarters. The silver State Quarter I have NGC graded has the reverse on the front. Report this Post to the Staff
